The story of Jen B Marketing began 20+ years ago after graduating from
Arizona State University. Forks Up!
My marketing career launched as the Marketing, Public Relations, Events Coordinator at The Phoenix Zoo and the rest was history. I transitioned from non-profit to the wide world of radio where I created non-traditional marketing sales ideas for KNIX, KEZ, Xtra Sports, Mix 96.9 followed by my dream job of working in professional sports with The Phoenix Coyotes, along with Cox Media and a few ad agencies.
As I was succeeding at 12 News (KPNX-TV, NBC) creating sales marketing opportunities, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I was blessed to have a supportive team who stood by my side as I battled. Through TV segments and in-store Fry's campaigns, I was able to share my journey and advocate for all women. Early detection saves lives - It saved mine!
After thriving from that life-changing experience, I needed to focus on myself and stop living to work. I was offered a role at NortonLifeLock which gave me a better work/life balance and I was excited to expand my marketing experience on a National/Global level managing multi-million dollar TV advertising campaigns.
I also was able to work on a National Celebrity TV Production initiative and learned how data analytics affects the performance of customer acquisition costs.
Following a global layoff, I explored many options including expanding my digital marketing knowledge where I found a passion of teaching others to also love marketing. In tandem, I was granted a scholarship to an intensive Executive MBA in Strategic Leadership online degree. I'm proud of my completion of the program and earning those expanded scholastic credentials.
With the support of my business & life partner (DJ), we launched Jen B Marketing at the beginning of 2024. I was able to bring all my years of marketing experience in media, advertising, planning, sports, implementation, data measurement to female and veteran owned small businesses.
In early 2025, DJ joined the agency to handle all the operations, technology, project management, and development. Working with your spouse has actually increased our bond and we're learning from each other every day.
Wanting to use all the knowledge I received from earning my eMBA degree, I added the role of Fractional CMO as a service to Jen B Marketing where I get to put all my experiences together in one space.
The world of marketing is changing every day so it keeps me on my toes. I need to continuously learn the newest and greatest so I don't get left behind. It's never boring which is one of my favorite things about marketing along with the ability to be creativite.
