The story of Jen B Marketing began 20+ years ago after I graduated from Arizona State University.

Right after college, I landed my first advertising job at The Phoenix Zoo & was bit by the marketing bug. I was lucky enough to spend the next several years working in non-traditional marketing sales for KNIX, KEZ, Xtra Sports, Mix 96.9, the team marketing for the The Phoenix Coyotes (fulfilled my dream job of working in sports), Cox Media along with a few ad agencies.
While working at 12 News, I was served a potential life devastating breast cancer diagnosis. While I battled the devil, my work family supported me & allowed me to continue to create custom marketing strategy solutions for advertisers. I was also able to help share my journey of breast cancer to spread the word that early detection saves lives ... it saved mine.
After looking cancer directly in the eye, I wanted to focus on a better work/life balance, so I joined NortonLifeLock where I expanded my marketing experiences by planning & executing multi-million dollar advertising campaigns. I was able to work on a National TV Commercial production team while also learning the value of using data & metrics to measure the success of marketing strategies.
After a global layoff, I explored many options including expanding my digital marketing knowledge where I found a passion to teach others to love marketing as much as I do. After receiving a scholarship in April 2024, I was grateful to continue my learning journey in a yearlong elite Executive MBA program.
With the support of my business & life partner (DJ), we launched Jen B Marketing at the beginning of 2024. I'm able to be a "Jill-of-all-Trades" focusing on the full scope of marketing from A to Z rather than being painted into a corner.
After an 18 year career as a recruiter in the construction trades, my passion for marketing & excitement of being a small business owner began to rub off onto DJ.
His story began on the Southside of Chicago before joining the United States Navy after high school graduation where he spent years protecting the country while getting to explore the world.
After his active duty commitment, he followed his family to the Arizona desert where he completed his Reserve Duty & went to school for HVAC training before transitioning to the office.
DJ joined the agency full-time to focus on web development, AI & backend operations.
Marketing is a large puzzle where all the pieces need to work together to drive results. We want to help ALL
small businesses build their individual puzzle by using smart marketing strategies & data.
We want to make marketing accessible for all by bringing large corporate marketing strategy to small businesses at reasonable pricing.
We're a female & veteran owned agency who are passionate about supporting other female & veteran owned companies while also bringing awareness to breast cancer early detection & giving love to all those adorable pets looking for a fur-ever home.
